Join me as I pour a glass of wine and spotlight shows from around the world.
Bacchus at the Theatre is for those curious about, or keen to attend, live stage productions.
Tapping into my psychology training, I provide a critical thought-provoking look at productions and share insights from the Creators behind the shows.
Named in honour of Bacchus, the Roman god of theatre and wine, I’ll also share bites and sips for pre and post show dining. A show night doesn’t need to begin and end with the stage. Bites & Sips will provide you with the best spots for pre or post show dining, whether you’re looking for a quick meal ahead of the show, a late night supper, or just a few nibbles, as you’re still buzzing after the show has finished. Prefer a nightcap at home? There’s recommendations for that, too.
And for those of you keen to uncork and take your beverage revelry further, delve into the experiential element with intoxicating grape escapes and unfiltered experiences.
Show Reviews are scored based on: plot, attraction, emotional connection, acting, dialogue, visual design, pace, sound, direction and audience response.

My love for theatre started early—evident in a bookcase overflowing with show programs.
A freelance writer, my career began with ACP publications’ SHE magazine, covering on music and culture. Leaning into my palate, I reported on the latest restaurant and bar openings for Eat Drink Play, Shore Life magazine and Sydney Scoop.
To justify my wine snobbery, I completed WSET Level 2 (with merit) and discovered there was a lot more to appreciate about grapes.
Finally, I’m proudly owned by my cat Bacchus, a British longhair feline who loves wine deliveries, purely for the boxes.
